NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will re-open the correction window facility for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) from July 4 to July 15, 2020, till 5:00 PM. Those candidates who have already registered can only make the corrections in the required fields and exam cities. The last date to submit the application fee till July 15, 2020, 11:50 PM .

The correction window for NEET 2020 application form was earlier opened by the authority from April 1 to May 31, while for JEE Main, the facility was available from May 25 to 31. Aspirants can get access to the NEET 2020 correction window from the official website of ntaneet.nic.in. For JEE Main the official website is jeemain.nta.nic.in.

NEET 2020 will be conducted for admission to a total of 82,926 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH and 525 BVSc and AH seats offered by respective colleges of India. However, JEE Main is the national level computer based test conducted for the purpose of admissions to the 32,874 undergraduate engineering seats in top engineering institutes in NITs, IIITs and the GFTIs. Also, the exam is a screening cum qualifier test for JEE Advanced.

Steps to avail the facility of correction window facility of NEET

Listed below are the steps to avail NEET 2020 Correction window facility.

  • Visit ntaneet.nic.in

  • Click the candidate login portal

  • Enter the registration number and password

  • Click on the link stating "Click here for corrections in NEET (UG)-2020 Application’.

  • Following that, candidates can edit or delete or modify the details.

  • Cross-check the edited fields from the preview section.

  • Enter the One Time Password (OTP) which will be sent to the registered mobile number or mail ID along with the security pin for final submission.

  • Take a printout of the correction slip by clicking on 'click here to print this page’.

JEE Main and NEET exam recent developments

HRD Ministry on July 3, 2020, tweeted regarding the postponement of JEE and NEET 2020 exam dates. NEET was earlier scheduled to be conducted on July 26, which has now been postponed to September 13. Similarly, JEE (Main) which was slated to be held from July 18 to 23, will now be conducted from September 1 to 6.

This postponement came in after the authorities received multiple requests from the candidates and their parents/guardians for the same keeping in consideration the effects of COVID-19. The admit cards of the exams are expected to be released 15 days prior to the exam dates.
