According to the CHSE board notice, the cameras must be tested and kept in readiness so that they can be used on the day of receipt of question papers in the strong room and from day 1 of exam.

Further, the HS schools which have applied for new exam centres must ensure that CCTV cameras are installed in exam halls and centre superintendent’s room.

Additionally, all schools that were declared as Examination Management (EMHs) and examination centres during annual exams 2026 and those eligible for new centres are required to have the following in hand:

  • DVR/NVR (preferably of CP+/Hikvision make/similar make)
  • Insta Cloud ([CP+/Hikvision/similar make)

Failure to install the CCTV system and comply with requirements may allow the council to cancel the exam centre (both theory and practical) and report to the Government for taking appropriate action against the defaulting HS school, the CHSE notice said.
