Odisha Civil Services 2019 Notification Released for 153 Vacancies; Application Starts from Nov 13

NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 05: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the online notification of Odisha Civil Services Examination 2019 on its official website opsconline.gov.in. OPSC has also mentioned the online application dates of the OCSE 2019. Candidates can fill the online application from November 13 to December 12, 2019. The last date to fill the online application fee is December 16. The commission in its online notification has also mentioned that they are accepting the applications only in online mode. The exam will be conducted in three phases - Preliminary, Main and Viva Voce Test. Candidates who qualify the preliminary phase will be eligible to appear for the mains and after qualifying the mains they will be called for viva voce.

OPSC has mentioned that the vacancies are subject to change based on the requirement of the state government. Out of the total vacancies, 03 posts are reserved for candidates with physical disabilities, 02 for ex-servicemen and 01 for sports person. A total of 50 vacancies are reserved for female candidates and in case these are not filled, the commission will select male candidates to fill in the vacant female vacancies.
Who can apply?
The minimum educational qualification for candidates to apply for OCSE is graduation from a recognized university. The candidate should also have passed HSC or equivalent exam with Odia as a medium of examination in the non-language subject or Odia as a Language subject. The age limit should be 21 to 32 years although there will be age relaxation for candidate belonging to reserved categories. Candidates selection will be on the basis of their performance in all stages - prelims, mains and interview.
What is the Application Fee?
The application fee is Rs. 500 for all the candidates while those candidates are exempted who belong to SC/ST category or with physical disability of more than 40%.
