OTET Exam 2026: Candidates will be able to access the application form through the official website at bseodisha.ac.in

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha will begin accepting online applications for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 from both in-service and fresh candidates starting tomorrow, March 26. Eligible candidates can apply for OTET 2026 on the official website, bseodisha.ac.in.
As per the OTET 2026 notification, the last date to submit the OTET application form is April 9, up to 11:45 pm. The offline pen-paper-based test will be conducted on May 29 in two shifts.
The first shift will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am for paper 1, and the second shift will be conducted from 2 pm to 4:30 pm for paper 2.
Candidates can choose to appear for Paper 1, Paper 2, or both, based on their eligibility and the classes they want to teach. Paper I is for Classes 1 to 5, while Paper II is for Classes 6 to 8.

The commission will conduct the OTET 2026 exam for recruitment to teaching positions for Classes 1 to 8 in primary and upper primary government schools in Odisha.
After the OTET application window closes, the correction window will open. Candidates will be allowed to edit their submitted OTET application form within a specified time period. The admit card for the OTET 2026 will be issued on May 15.
For OTET paper 1, candidates should have completed Higher Secondary education along with DElEd, BElEd, or an equivalent course.
For Paper 2, candidates should have completed graduation along with BEd, DElEd, or an equivalent course.
There is no age limit for applying for the OTET exam 2026, but candidates must be permanent residents of Odisha

For both papers, there will be 150 objective-type questions carrying a total of 150 marks. The OTET exam will include topics like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II (English), and subject-specific sections.
For paper 1, the subjects include Mathematics and Environmental Science, while for paper 2, candidates can choose between Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies.
As per the OTET marking scheme, there is no negative marking for wrong answers, and candidates need to score at least 60% to pass the OTET 2026 exam.
