NEW DELHI: The Performance, Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH) will conduct PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 today, December 4. The PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 will be held for Classes 3, 6, and 9.
Careers360 was the first to report that the PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 would replace the National Achievement Survey (NAS). A significant change from NAS 2021 is the adoption of the "balanced incomplete block (BIB)" design for question papers, which is also used in international assessments like PISA. PARAKH stated that this design is highly effective for estimating summary statistics following the assessments.
This new assessment is an independent evaluation framework established by NCERT. It aligns with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 aims to evaluate the competencies of students at the foundational, preparatory, and middle stages and guide remedial measures. PARAKH, NCERT, has developed and tested the survey tools and test items, while CBSE, in coordination with States and UTs, will manage the test administration in selected schools.
The PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan is conducted to gather systematic feedback on student learning levels at district, state, and national levels, aiding in policy planning, designing pedagogical strategies to enhance learning quality and promote equity.
