NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 26: The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has released the PGIMER result for the MD/MS entrance conducted for the January session on November 26. The exam was conducted on November 25, in offline mode. A total of 8,403 candidates took the exam. Currently, only the merit list has been issued while the scorecard will be released later.
Candidates securing the percentile of at least 55 th percentile are considered qualified for unreserved and sponsored categories while the reserved category candidates need to secure a minimum of 50 th percentile with the exception of Bhutanese nationals who are required to secure at least 45 th percentile to qualify the exam and to be considered qualified.

Counselling for MD, MS courses
Since the result only specifies the candidates qualifying status, it is mandatory to participate in the counselling process for admission to MD, MS courses. The counselling process will start from December 14, for which candidates will be required to report to PGI, Chandigarh. Qualified candidates will be called for the counselling on the basis of their merit order.
The entrance exam of PGIMER for MD and MS courses is conducted twice a year for January and July session. The exam was held for a total of 143 seats available for admission to both the courses.
