PGIMER 2019 application form closes tomorrow; here is how to fill the form

New Delhi, April 17
: The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, will close the application form of PGIMER 2019 (July session) on April 18. Aspirants who haven’t filled the application yet should hurry, because after the cutoff date no application will be accepted. PGIMER application form is for admission to around 143 PG (MD/MS) seats offered by the institute.
Admission to PG courses will be based on PGIMER 2019 entrance exam which is scheduled to be held on May 26; previously the exam was scheduled for May 12, but was postponed to accommodate the national elections.
PGIMER application form is available in online mode and open to all candidates who have completed their MBBS degree from a medical college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Additionally, the candidate also needs to have completed mandatory 1 year rotatory internship on or before June 30, 2019.

How to fill PGIMER 2019 application form

Select the course applied for admission

Get registered by filling in details like personal details, contact information, and permanent address. Also, select a password for the new applicant account and then enter security code displayed on screen.

Upon successful registration, application number will be generated; note it down

Next login and fill the application form. Some of the details that has to be entered include qualifying exam details and personal information.

The candidate has to next upload scanned images of photograph, signature and essential documents in prescribed format.

In the penultimate step, the candidate has to pay the application fee, which is Rs. 1000 for OBC and general candidates, and Rs. 800 for SC/ST candidates. PwD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. The fee can be paid using SBI Bank challan or through SBI i collect service.

Finally submit the application form and take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
Issue of Admit Cards
Only such candidates who successfully complete the application process and also meet the prescribed eligibility conditions will be issued PGIMER 2019 admit cards. The official date for release of the admit card hasn’t been notified yet, but going by previous year’s trend, it is expected sometime in the last week of April.
An important document for sitting in the exam, the admit card will carry vital information like the name and roll number of the candidate, details of allotted centre, exam schedule, and also exam day guidelines. The result of the pen-and-paper-based exam will be declared on May 27, i.e, within 24 hours of completion of the exam.
