PGIMER 2019 Result for January session to be announced on November 26, after 2 PM!

NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 26: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh is going to declare the PGIMER MD/MS result 2019 for January session, today on November 26, 2018. As per the officials, the authority will release PGIMER result after 02:00 PM. Candidates who took the exam on November 25, 2018, can download the result in online mode only.
How to download PGIMER Result 2019 for January session?
The medical graduates can download PGIMER 2019 result from the official website by following the below-mentioned procedure.

Click on ‘MD/MS January 2019 result’ provided on the website.

Enter the roll number and password in the designated space.

The scorecard will be displayed on the screen, which should be downloaded for future references.
PGIMER Cut off 2019
Candidates who will secure the minimum PGIMER cut off percentile as set by PGI, Chandigarh will be considered qualified. The qualifying percentile for each category varies from one another. Below is the table mentioning the category-wise minimum qualifying percentile, which one needs to secure to check the result.

Based on the cut off, the regulatory body will release the a total of nine category-wise PGIMER merit list 2019. These list will contain the name of candidates, roll number, percentile scores and All India Rank. The rank list which will be released are: General, OBC, SC, ST, RAC (Rural Area Candidates), PWD, Sponsored candidates, Foreign nationals, Bhutanese nationals.
And in case, if the marks of two or more aspirants will be equal, then conducting authority will follow the inter-se merit/tie-breaking mechanism. First of all, candidates who would have obtained higher aggregate marks in MBBS examination will be considered for better rank in the merit list. However, if the tie still persists, then the age of candidates will be preferred and an aspirant elder in age will be placed higher in the rank list.
PGIMER 2019 Counselling
The qualified aspirants whose name will be included in the merit list will be called for counselling session for admission to MD and MS courses offered in PGIMER, Chandigarh. To participate in counselling procedure, candidates need to report at the venue in personal. The number of candidates to be called for first round of counselling will be three times than the total number of seats available. Students who will not be physically present during PGIMER counselling will not be eligible for admission.
PGIMER exam is conducted twice a year in January and July session for admission to Masters of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (DM) courses.
