PGIMER 2020 application form last date extended; check details here

NEW DELHI: The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has extended the last date to fill the online PGIMER application form till May 6, for eligible aspirants. Earlier, the last date to successfully fill and submit the application form was April 24, 2020, and the authorities had released the PGIMER application form on March 17, 2020. The extension in the last date has been done due to COVID-19 which has resulted in nationwide lockdown. For more details on PGIMER 2020 and other related events candidates can check below.

Steps to fill PGIMER 2020 application form?
Candidates can check below for the steps to fill the application form for admission to PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Step 1 - Registration - In this step candidates will have to register themselves by filling in their personal and category related details in the area provided

Step 2 - Generation of application number - After having done registrations, an application number will be generated and sent to the registered mail IDs and phone numbers of candidates

Step 3 - Filling details in the application form - Then aspirants will have to provide their personal and educational qualification details and click on submit button

Step 4 - Uploading scanned documents - Then candidates have to upload their scanned documents which includes their photograph, signature, internship certificate, MBBS Degree/Provisional Certificate

Step 5 - Payment of application fee - In this step candidates are required to pay the application fee for admission through PGIMER 2020

Step 6 - Final submission of application form - The final step is the final submission of the application form of PGIMER. In this step, the details of fee submission will be displayed on the screen. Candidates are advised to take printouts of the updated form by using their login credentials

About PGIMER 2020

PGI, Chandigarh conducts PGIMER twice a year for January and July sessions. Recognized as one of the premier medical institutions of the country, the MD and MS programmes of PGIMER Chandigarh follow a structure involving residency-cum-training over a period of three years. Candidates taking admission through the PGIMER exam will be called Junior Residents. PGIMER July entrance examination will be held for admission to 295 Masters of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) seats offered in PGI, Chandigarh.
