PGIMER 2020 application form released at pgimer.edu.in; apply till April 16

New Delhi: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has made the PGIMER application form 2020 for the July session available on March 17. Candidates who fulfill the basic eligibility guidelines are only eligible to apply for the PGIMER 2020 entrance exam till April 16. Along with the PGIMER 2020 application form, the authority has also released the official brochure for MD/MS courses. How to apply for the PGIMER application form 2020?
Here are detailed steps on how to fill the PGIMER application form 2020:

Step 1: Register online

• Visit the official website pgimer.edu.in and click on the link that says "Online application form for admission to MD/MS course. After clicking on the link, click on another tab that says "Click here to apply".

• After you click on that, a new window will open where you need to click on the new registration.

• Aspirants need to enter details such as name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and email ID, captcha and click on the "I agree" and lastly click on the submit button.

Step 2: Fill the PGIMER application form 2020

• After the successful registration, an email will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number.

• Candidates need to click on the "Go to the application form" tab.

• In the application form, candidates have to fill in their personal, address, educational and other asked details

Step 3: Uploading of documents

Aspirants have to upload a scanned passport size photograph, their signature, internship certificate and MBBS degree/provisional certificate with the specifications given by the authorities.

Step 4: PGIMER 2020 application form fee payment

• Medical graduates have to pay a fee for application as mentioned in the table below.

• Once candidates complete the steps given above a confirmation page will appear on the screen. They are required to take 4-5 printouts of this confirmation page of the application form

Major changes in PGIMER 2020 brochure

• Increment in number of seats: The total number of seats has increased to 295 for July session. Earlier, the exam was held for admission to 207 seats.

• New exam cities added: Three new exam cities have been added this year which are Noida, Patna and Madhurai, which makes a total of 16 exam cities.

• Changes in exam timings: PGIMER 2020 will now be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, which earlier used to be conducted from 10:00 AM TO 1:00 PM.

Medical graduates who fill the application form of the PGIMER 2020 January session successfully will be able to download the admit card from the first week of May. PGIMER, Chandigarh will conduct the examination on May 23, 2020, for admission to 295 Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) seats in its residency-cum-training program of three years.
