PGIMER Result 2019 for July session announced @ pgimer.edu.in; Counselling starts from June 14

NEW DELHI; May 28: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Puducherry has declared the PG result for MD and MS courses on May 28. 2019. The examination for admission to as many as 223 postgraduate medical courses was successfully conducted on May 26, 2019. The result-cum-scorecard has been declared for the July session mentioning the name of candidate, category, roll number, percentile, overall marks and qualifying status for counselling. The minimum qualifying percentile which has been secured by aspirants are eligible for seat allotment process.

PGIMER 2019 exam conducted in pen and paper mode in English language only. Only the qualified can be eligible to participate for counselling from June 14, onwards.

Here are the steps for candidates to download the result:

  • Click on the official website - pgimer.edu.in

  • In the ‘Information for Candidates’ section, click on MD/MS result

  • In the login window, enter the roll number and date of birth (as filled in the application form)

  • Verify the details mentioned in the scorecard

  • Download and take a printout of it

The merit list-cum-result has been released only for the candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying percentile in the Postgraduate medical entrance exam of PGIMER July session. The cutoff percentile varies for each category and is mentioned in the table below.

On the basis of minimum qualifying percentile, PGI Chandigarh will release nine category-wise merit list of PGIMER 2019. The merit list which are derived on the basis of PGIMER cutoff are for General, OBC, SC, ST, RAC (Rural Area Candidates), PWD, Sponsored and Foreign nationals. While preparing the merit list, if the rank of two or more aspirants is equal, then the tie-breaking mechanism was followed, which mentions:

  • Aspirants obtaining higher marks in MBBS professional exam is given higher rank

  • If the tie still exists, the candidate with more aggregate marks are ranked better in the list

  • At last, if the tie still persists, then aspirant elder in age is given higher rank

PGIMER Counselling 2019

Candidates who have qualified the PG entrance exam are called for counselling of PGIMER 2019 from June 14, onwards. The counselling will be conducted in offline mode only at Bhargava Auditorium, PGI Chandiagrh To take care of absentees, candidates called for seat allotment process will be three times more than the number of seats available.
