P.K. Khosla appointed Chairman of Education Committee of Himachal Pradesh State Chapter, PHDCCI

NEW DELHI - P.K. Khosla, Vice Chancellor at Shoolini University has been appointed as the chairman of the Education Committee of Himachal Pradesh State Chapter, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI).
On this, Khosla, said “I will utilise my vast experience of academics and research to promote education policy in Himachal Pradesh. Covid-19 pandemic has posed a serious challenge before the education system and it needs to be treated carefully". He also said that to work on the education policies and issues related to education sector upswings due to COVID-19 will be his priority in PHDCCI.
About P. K. Khosla
Khosla is a former vice-chancellor of Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University and a former advisor for the biotech department to the Himachal Pradesh government. He subsequently led the founding of Shoolini University. Khosla has been awarded the Seth Memorial Award – Society of Tree Scientists for achievement in forestry and life time achievement award, Indian Society of True Scientists. He is a fellow of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, India, Society of Genetics and Plant Breeding, India and International Society of Tropical – Foresters, USA. He is also Founder Secretary, Indian Society of Tree Scientists, India.
Mr. H.S. Dhaliwal, Vice Chancellor, Eternal University Badu Sahib has been appointed as the co-chairman of the Education Committee.
PHDCCI was established in 1905 and is a proactive national apex chamber working at the grass-root level and with strong national and international linkages. The Chamber acts as a catalyst in the promotion of industry, trade and entrepreneurship.
The Chamber has its headquarters in Delhi and regional offices in all states except Tamil Nadu, Orissa and West Bengal. The chamber has its presence Pan India, through regional and state chambers with memorandum of understanding.
