Members of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), All India Students Association (AISA), Students Federation of India (SFI), All India Students Federation (AISF), and others took part in the protests.
One of the Bills proposing the setting up of a new varsity is the EdTech Skills University Bill, 2025, which aims to create a private university focused on advancing learning, assessment, and research in line with the New Education Policy.
The CBSE pattern will be implemented in two phases in the state, where currently the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) conducts exams for Class 10 and 12.
