Overall pass percentage dips slightly from last year as over 2.5 lakh students clear the exam, with girls dominating both performance and top ranks across Punjab.

The Punjab School Education Board(PSEB) has announced the Class 8 results for 2026 today, April 10. Students who appeared for the exams can now check and download their marksheets from the official website, pseb.ac.in.
As per the official board data, a total of 2,62,966 appeared in the exam this year of out which 2,53,789 passed. The overall pass percentage this year fell to 96.51% while as the number last year stood at 97.30%.
Girls have once again performed better than boys, recording a pass rate of 97.74%, compared to 95.42% among male students, continuing the trend of higher achievement among female candidates.
The top two positions were secured by girls. The toppers are as follows:

Click on the result link for Class 8 or Middle Standard 2026 available on the homepage
Enter your roll number or registration details along with date of birth
Submit the details to view your result
Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen in PDF format
Download the file and keep a printed copy for future academic use
