NEW DELHI: Punjab School Education Board has decided to promote all Class 10 students on the basis of their performance in the pre-board exams. The board decided to cancel the remaining Class 10 board exams due to the extension of lockdown. Approx 4 lakh students appeared in the Punjab Class 10 board exams which were started from March 17, 2020. To know the result, students should contact their respective schools.
Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh announced that Class 10 students will be promoted to class 11 on the basis of student’s performance in pre-board exams. Punjab Board will not conduct the remaining board exams for class 10.

In a previous decision, he stated that the Punjab Board has decided to promote all class 5 to class 8 students to the respective classes. The board has earlier announced the summer vacations from May 15 to June 15, 2020.
So far, Punjab has reported a total of 1644 coronavirus cases which are increasing on a daily basis. Students should start further studies through online platforms.
