NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Board is all set to reduce its syllabus for the academic year 2020-21. This decision has been made in regard to the ground situation of the country. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the schools were shut and therefore, students were unable to cover the syllabus.

The State Education Minister, Govind Singh Dotsara tweeted on July 9, 2020, that the Rajasthan State Council of Education Research and Teaching (RSCERT) will be minimising the RBSE syllabus for this year.

"Due to corona, working days have been reduced for schools and hence keeping in mind students' interests, the Secondary Education Directorate has directed the Secondary Education Board, Ajmer and RSCERT Udaipur in this regard. A final decision will be taken very soon,” said the minister on Twitter, as per NDTV report.

Earlier, CBSE Board reduced the syllabus for Classes 9 to 12 by 30 percent. The Board reduced the 30% of the content but retaining the "core concepts,” the Human Resource Development Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' announced on July 7, 2020.
