REET 2022 registration to begin from April 18; exam on July 23 and 24

NEW DELHI: The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has announced to conduct Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET 2022) exam on July 23 and 24. The REET 2022 registration will begin on April 18 and will conclude on May 18, as per the latest notice issued by the board.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on February 7 announced the cancellation of Level-2 examination of REET 2021 amid accusations of largescale irregularities. He also announced to reconduct the exam for 62,000 posts instead of the existing 32,000 posts.
No application fee will be charged from the old candidates for the REET 2022 exam to be held afresh and all the facilities given to the candidates at the time of REET examination will also be made available again.
Though the REET 2022 exam dates were announced earlier, Secretary of BSER Meghna Choudhary said that the exam dates may be extended further till the board finds reliable exam centres.
In order to qualify the exam, the general category candidates are required to score at least 60% marks whereas SC, ST candidates have to secure 36% marks.

The Rajasthan CM took to Twitter to announce that the validity of the REET in the state will now be lifelong. Earlier, the REET certificate was valid for upto seven years, which was later reduced to three years.
While there is no upper age limit, as per the eligibility criteria laid down by the board, a candidate must be a minimum of 18-years-old. They should have a bachelor's degree in education and it also varies as per the posts applying. The detailed eligibility criterion will be mentioned in the REET notification 2022.
