NEW DELHI: In a first, the Board of Secondary Education (BSER) is introducing face-recognition technology in the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) 2025. The board has also notified the dress code for REET exam 2025 and asked candidates to wear plain clothes and slippers or sandals.

“Use of face recognition technology for the first time, monitoring at multiple levels for privacy. On February 27 and 28, candidates will appear for the exam in plain clothes, slippers and sandals,” the board said in a post on X.

The step will be taken to identify the impersonators in the recruitment exam. “In REET exam, the candidates will be verified through biometric and face recognition, suspicious activities will be closely monitored to identify fake and dummy candidates,” the Rajasthan board said earlier.

REET 2025 will be conducted on February 27 in two shifts: shift 1 will be conducted from 10 am to 12:30 pm and shift 2 from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. The exam is being held for two levels of appointment. Level 1 is for recruitment of teachers for Classes 1 to 6 and level 2 for those intending to teach Classes 6 to 8.

RBSE REET 2025

RBSE issued REET hall ticket 2025 on February 19. The examinees have been asked to report to the allotted examination centre two hours before the commencement of the exam. It is mandatory for candidates to carry the REET admit card 2025 along with a valid photo ID proof.

In a major rehaul, this year’s REET question paper will comprise five options for each question instead of the usual four. The board has also introduced a negative marking of one-third mark for every wrong answer.
