Research in Indian academic institutions and India's top 1,000 researchers: A white paper

NEW DELHI: Based on their publication and citation counts and h-index on international research indices, Careers360 identified the top 1,000 reseachers working in higher educational institutions in India.

Of them, the most impactful scholars in 27 separate domains were identified and conferred with Careers360's Faculty Research Awards on October 6.

The names of the top 1,000; names and brief profiles of the awardees; and a brief overview of research productivity of Indian institutions based on data from the National Institutional Ranking Framework were published in a white paper release at the awards. A copy of that paper is given below.

The awardees included researchers from some of India's top academic institutions including Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, National Institutes of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research and others.
