New Delhi, April 22
: The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has released revised merit and category lists for MDS program on April 21. The lists have been revised on account of lowered qualifying cutoff for MDS program that was announced by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI, on April 3. The original merit and category lists were released on April 6.
The merit and category lists are prepared using NEET PG 2019 scores.
When the NEET MDS result was first announced on January 14, the qualifying cutoff for general category candidates was fixed as 50 percentile (250 marks out of 960). Meanwhile the qualifying percentile for UR-PH was 45 percentile, and for SC/ST/OBC/SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH candidates it was 40 percentile.
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI, however released a notification on April 3, saying that it is lowering the MDS qualifying cutoff for all categories. The cutoff was lowered to ensure MDS seats don’t go vacant in dental colleges. The original and lowered qualifying cutoff can be checked from the table below.
