RPF 2018 exam begins from Dec 19; check details here

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 19: Ministry of Railways is conducting RPF 2018 from December 19. The exam of RPF SI for Group E and F is being conducted today, i.e, December 19, while the test for Group E of RPF Constable posts will be conducted on December 20.

RPF SI exam for Group A and B will be held on January 5 and 6, 2019 while for the post of Constable for Group A, B and F, the test will be conducted between January 17 and 25. The examination for Group C and D for SI will be conducted from January 9 to 13 while for the post of Constable, the test will be held from February 2 to 19 for Group C and D.

The admit card for both the posts has been issued from December 9. Candidates can download the same using registration number and date of birth. The admit card contains relevant information pertaining to the candidate and the exam such as name of candidate, roll number, group, time, venue of exam and exam day guidelines.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) for both the posts comprises 120 questions and total marks allotted for the exam are 120. Candidates have to complete the test within 90 minutes. Questions asked in the exam are from General Awareness, Arithmetic and General Intelligence and Reasoning. Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for correct answers while 1/3 (0.33) marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.

RPF recruitment exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the posts of Sub-Inspector (SI) and Constable in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). The Ministry of Railways has announced a total of 9739 vacancies for the posts; of which 8619 are for Constable posts while 1120 vacancies are available for the post of SI. According to the official figures, around 73 lakh candidates are appearing for the recruitment exam.
