NEW DELHI: Railway Recruitment Boards has rescheduled the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) CBT 2 March 19, 20 exams 2025 for few centres. The RRB ALP 2025 March 19 exam has been rescheduled due to unforeseen technical issues. The new RRB ALP 2025 exam date will be announced soon.
The RRB official notice read, "Due to unforeseen technical issues, the exam scheduled on 19.03.2025 (Shift-1 & 2) are being rescheduled for centers where exam could not be conducted. The rescheduled date for examination will be notified shortly. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for further updates."
The RRB ALP 2025 recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 18,799 vacancies. The RRB ALP 2025 CBT 2 was scheduled to be conducted on March 19 and 20, 2025. The recruitment board has not specified whether fresh RRB ALP 2025 admit cards will be issued for the rescheduled exams.
RRB ALP 2025 CBT 2 exam pattern
The RRB ALP 2025 CBT 2 will consist of two parts: Part A and Part B. The duration of RRB ALP 2025 exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The RRB ALP 2025 CBT 2 will consist of175 questions.
RRB ALP 2025 CBT 2 part A will include a total of 100 questions and part B will consist of 75 questions. The time limit for part A is 90 minutes and for part B 60 minutes. The RRB ALP 2025 question paper will be available in English, Hindi and 12 regional languages. As per the RRB ALP 2025, one-third marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The RRB ALP 2025 CBT 2 marks will be normalised as the exam is being held in multiple shifts.
RRB ALP 2025: Selection process
The RRB ALP 2025 selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) 1, CBT 2, followed by a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and document verification.
The passing percentage in RRB ALP CBT 2 part A is 40% for Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 30% for Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and Scheduled Castes (SC), and 25% for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Only the marks obtained in RRB ALP 2025 CBT 2 part A will be considered for shortlisting candidates for the next stage of the recruitment process, provided candidate secures at least 35% in part B.
