RRB Group D Exam Date 2022: Railway Board to hold CBT exam from August 17

NEW DELHI: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the RRB Group D computer-based test (CBT) exam date. The RRB Group D 2022 exam is scheduled to be held tentatively from August 17, 2022, in multiple phases.
As per the official notice issued by the RRB, “The single stage CBT is scheduled to be held tentatively from 17th August 2022 onwards in multiple phases subject to the prevailing conditions and Government guidelines issued from time to time in view of handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

The Railway Board also will be carrying out Aadhaar based Biometric Authentication to prevent malpractices during the RRB Group D exam 2022. “The Railway Recruitment Boards are allowed to perform Aadhaar based Biometric Authentication, on a voluntary basis, for establishing the identity of each candidate to avoid impersonation and other malpractices during the examination and to ensure fair conduct of examination,” it said.
From increasing vacancies, normalization of marks to conducting two-stage CBT exam for RRB Group D, the Railway board had on January 24, 2022, introduced major changes. However, it later cancelled the amendments made and issued fresh changes for the RRB Group D exam.

The RRB Group D 2022 exam aims to fill up over 1 lakh vacancies under Level 1 of 7th CPC matrix in various units of Indian Railways.
Based on the performance of candidates in RRB Group D CBT and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), they will be called for document verification.
