SAMS Odisha +3 round 3 merit list 2026 out; 53,656 candidates allotted UG seats

The Higher Education Department, Odisha, has published the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) Odisha +3 merit list 2026 Round 3, allotting undergraduate seats to 53,656 candidates across participating colleges in the state. Candidates can check their third-round selection status on the official SAMS Odisha portal using their login credentials.

Candidates selected in round 3 of Odisha +3 counselling 2026 have to pay the admission fee online and complete the admission process between July 29 and August 1. Those who are not allotted a seat in the current round or wish to upgrade their allotment will get another opportunity when the round 4 merit list is published on August 4.

This year, the state is offering 2,87,519 undergraduate seats through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS). During the first phase of admissions, 2,37,200 candidates applied for UG programmes. Earlier, 88,480 students secured admission through the first Odisha +3 merit list 2026, while 30,150 candidates confirmed their seats after the second round , taking the total admissions to 1,18,630 before the release of the third selection list.

How to check SAMS Odisha +3 merit list 2026 round 3

Candidates can follow these steps to download their allotment status:

• Visit the official SAMS Odisha portal.
• Click on the Degree (+3) admission section.
• Open the Third Selection/Merit List link.
• Enter the required login credentials or select district, college, stream and subject.
• View the allotment result and download it for future reference.

The allotment letter includes details such as the candidate's name, allotted college, stream, category, marks and admission instructions. Candidates have been advised to verify all the details carefully before reporting to the allotted institution.

SAMS Odisha +3 Merit List 2026: highest cut-offs

Ravenshaw University recorded the highest cut-offs in several streams in the third merit list.

In the humanities stream, the highest cut-off stood at 94.80% for BA English. In physical science, BSc Physics at Ravenshaw recorded the highest cut-off of 95.67%, while the university also topped the commerce stream with a cut-off of 91.83%.

For biological science, Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (Autonomous) College recorded the highest cut-off of 93.50% for zoology.

Among self-financing programmes, Computer Science at Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (Autonomous) College registered the highest cut-off of 92%.

In professional programmes, Madhusudan Law University recorded the highest cut-off of 86.50% for the five-year integrated BA LLB course. Meanwhile, Sanskrit (Degree) College, Badakia, recorded the highest cut-off of 58.29% in the Shastri stream.
