SBI Clerk notification 2019 released @sbi.co.in; 8653 vacancies announced, 1453 more than last year

New Delhi, April 12: The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification of SBI Clerk 2019 along with its application form on April 12, 2019. Aspiring candidates can fill the SBI Clerk application form 2019 till May 3, 2019 in online mode. However, before filling the application for the banking exam, candidates must ensure that they meet all the eligibility conditions set by the bank to avoid cancellation of their candidature at any stage of the recruitment.

According to SBI officials, through the recruitment examination this year, a total of 8653 vacancies for the clerical cadre will be filled, which includes 60 vacancies under special recruitment drive for Chandigarh Circle. This means that barring the special recruitment drive, the number of vacancies announced by the bank for SBI Clerk exam 2019 is 8593 .
Noticeably, the bank has declared 1453 more vacancies as compared to last year. In 2018, SBI had announced a total of 7200 clerical vacancies, while for 2019 the number vacancies is 8653, which means that candidates will be recruited at 1453 more vacancies than the previous year.
Apart from the application dates and the release of the notification, the authority has only declared the exam date of the SBI Clerk mains stage. However, the exam date for the prelims stage has not been announced. According to the SBI officials, SBI Clerk mains exam 2019 will be held on August 10, 2019. For rest of the dates, it’s a wait and watch situation. Earlier, on April 2, the PSU had announced a total of 2000 vacancies for SBI PO exam 2019 along with the release of its application form. The application is available in online mode and can be filled till April 22, 2019.
