SBI PO Recruitment 2025-26: Notification out for 541 vacancies; registration opens

Eligible candidates can submit the registration form for the SBI PO vacancies till July 14, 2025.
The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued the notification for the recruitment of SBI Probationary Officers (PO) 2025 posts today, June 24. The state bank has also started accepting the applications to fill a total of 541 PO positions across the country. Out of the 541 positions for the SBI PO 2025, 500 are regular posts, and 41 backlog vacancies.

Eligible candidates can apply for the SBI PO 2025 exam through the official website at bank.sbi till July 14.
The selection process for the SBI Bank PO positions, there will be three phases, such as prelims, mains and interviews and the prelims will be conducted in July or August, while the mains will take place in September 2025.
As per the official notification, recruited candidates will be given a basic pay of Rs 48,480, excluding allowances on joining the SBI bank PO position.

The computer-based preliminary examination will consist of an objective test for a total of 100 marks. The test will have three sections with separate timings for each.
Notably, the category-wise merit list will be issued on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained in the preliminary exam. There will be no sectional cut-off in pre exams. “Candidates numbering 10 times (approximately) of the numbers of vacancies in each category will be short listed for Main Examination from the top of above merit list,” the SBI notification reads.
The SBI PO application fee for general, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) is Rs 750, whereas Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) category aspirants no need to pay any application fee.

Eligible candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for the SBI PO 2025-26.
- Go to the official website at sbi.co.in or bank.sbi.
- Move your cursor to the careers section and click on the current opening.
- Click on apply online option.
- Fill the details as required to create login details.
- Login using the generated registration number and password
- Fill the required details and pay the requisite application fee.
- Click on the submit icon and save the SBI PO application form for future use.
