School reopening news: Assam, Haryana, and Rajasthan governments have decided to reopen schools from September 20.

NEW DELHI: At least three states are reopening schools from tomorrow, September 20 for different classes with strict COVID-19 protocols. The state governments have issued guidelines on school reopening to ensure the safety of teachers and students.
Rajasthan, Assam, and Haryana governments have decided to reopen schools in their respective states for different classes.
Schools had remained closed in the country for over 17 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Just as they were beginning to reopen earlier this year, the second wave of COVID-19 hit that forced the states to keep the educational institutions closed.

Finally, as the country saw a dip in the number of COVID-19 cases, the state governments are reopening educational institutions for offline classes.
States like Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka have reopened schools from September 1 with safety measures.
Check states reopening schools tomorrow
According to PTI, the Rajasthan government announced on Friday that schools will reopen for physical classes for Classes 6 to 8 in all government and private schools with 50% attendance.
Further, the government has decided to resume offline classes for Classes 1 to 5 from September 27, the PTI report said.
The government had already reopened schools for Classes 9 to 12 from September 1. The guidelines issued by the government have asked not to conduct morning assembly and to keep the canteens closed.
The Haryana government has decided to reopen school for Classes 1 to 3 in all government and private schools in the state from September 20. Schools for other classes had already started in the state earlier.
“Haryana Government has issued orders to open all government and private schools from September 20, 2021 for classes 1st to 3rd. to all schools #COVID19 The rules have to be followed for prevention. #HaryanaFightsCorona #IndiaFightsCorona,” Haryana CMO said in a social media post.

The government has asked the school authorities to ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols and to follow safety measures like sanitisation of the premises, thermal scanning at the entrance gates, social distancing etc.
The Assam government has also decided to resume physical classes in all schools in the state for Class 10 from September 20, the chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on social media. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting held on September 16.

The Assam government has asked the authorities to ensure the vaccination of teaching, non-teaching staff, and students before reopening of schools.
