Bihar government's order comes after a school teacher fell into river while trying to reach his school on a boat.
The school headmaster was informed, and further inquiries with the girl revealed that the accused allegedly sexually assaulted her on three to four occasions over the last 15 days, the official said.
The official said the steps were necessitated in the wake of reports that students of higher classes were being inducted for political rallies, blockades across the state demanding justice for the woman doctor.
According to the complaint, the teacher had been allegedly sexually harassing the girl for the last two years, the official said.
After being chided by her mother and brother, the girl picked up a book and left her home in the Daslepada area saying she was going to study with a friend. But she never returned, the official said.
District Basic Education Officer Asha Chaudhary said Kamil had allegedly called several students to his office under the pretext of trimming their nails and ended up misbehaving with the girl.
