"Our protest also sought to highlight the growing number of attacks by right-wing forces on educational institutions across the country, and attempts to throttle democratic and liberal voices on campuses, including Jamia Millia Islamia, SRFTI and JU," Students Federation of India's (SFI) Presidency University unit's spokesperson Beetan Islam said. SFI will continue to fight for democratic rights, he added.
