Sharda University NCC cadets distribute relief aid in flood-hit Noida
The cadets of 31 UP Girls Battalion distributed essential supplies including biscuits, sanitary napkins and ready-to-eat food packets.
NEW DELHI: A group of 35 NCC cadets of 31 UP Girls Battalion, Sharda University, distributed relief aid to the families that were affected by the floods at Basantpur Banger in Noida.
The cadets visited the flood-hit area on July 26 and distributed essential supplies such as biscuits, sanitary napkins, and ready-to-eat food packets.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit was led by Lieutenant Yashodhara Raj, who is an associate NCC officer at Sharda University and CHM Paras. The distribution drive was carried out with utmost efficiency and empathy, focusing on the urgent needs of the affected families, a university statement said.
The Lieutenant said, “I am immensely proud of our NCC cadets from Sharda University who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and compassion in providing relief to the flood-affected families. Their unwavering spirit and enthusiasm to help others during such challenging times are truly commendable.”
Paras said, "The coordinated efforts of our cadets have resulted in making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by the floods. It is heartening to witness the transformative power of collective action and the difference it can make in the lives of people in distress."
The NCC cadets from Sharda University have always exhibited a deep commitment to serving society and contributing to the welfare of their fellow citizens, the press release said.
