Shiv Nadar University announces scholarship for female BTech students

NEW DELHI: Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (IoE) has announced a scholarship programme aimed at supporting meritorious female students pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in the School of Engineering in 2024. The scholarship, worth Rs 4 lakhs, will be awarded to five female students.

As per the institute, the scholarship will provide an annual disbursement of Rs 1 lakh for each year of their four-year engineering program at the university. This initiative is an addition to the existing scholarships offered by the university for incoming students. Details about all scholarships and application procedures can be found on the university's website, snuadmissions.com.

According to the information shared by the institute, to qualify for this scholarship, a student should have received and accepted an offer of admission to any engineering programme offered by the university. The selection process will consider both academic achievements and extracurricular activities. Additionally, certain terms and conditions may apply to the scholarship.

Shiv Nadar IoE, Delhi-NCR, is currently inviting applications across all programmes in its four schools: Engineering, Natural Sciences, Management and Entrepreneurship, and Humanities and Social Sciences, the institute said.

Speaking at the occasion, vice-chancellor of Shiv Nadar IoE, Ananya Mukherjee, said: “We are excited to see a significant increase in the number of women who achieve success in the field of engineering. Our curriculum is designed to encompass a wide range of disciplines, and we feel that all of our graduates, whether they are male or female, bring to the table the kinds of leadership and vision that encourage more diversity and inclusion.”
