New Shoolini University centre will train students in robotics, AI and humanoid systems, focusing on practical skills, innovation and career readiness
Shoolini University has launched a new centre for robotics and artificial intelligence in collaboration with Sirena Technologies, as it looks to strengthen hands-on learning and industry exposure for students in emerging technologies.
The centre, established under the department of AI, computer and data science, is aimed at making learning more practical by introducing students to industrial-grade robotics and humanoid systems. The idea is to help students move beyond theory and understand how these technologies are actually used in real-world settings.
At the launch, students and faculty got a first-hand look at humanoid systems through live demonstrations and technical walkthroughs conducted by Sirena’s engineering team, offering a glimpse into how robotics is evolving beyond traditional lab environments.

As part of the collaboration, a three-month training programme will be conducted by industry experts from Sirena Technologies. This will include hands-on projects, faculty training, and mentorship, helping students build skills that are directly relevant to industry requirements.
Vishal Anand, founder and pro chancellor of Shoolini University said, "Our mission is to translate academic research directly into implementation. Organisations around the world are now looking to fill in skill gaps, especially in the areas of AI, automation and robotics, as the world around us evolves by the hour. This new centre reiterates Shoolini’s focus on innovation embedded into our pedagogical design, enabling students to become creators and problem-solvers before they enter the workforce and add value to their organisations."

The collaboration will also focus on preparing students for careers by aligning training with industry expectations. Sirena Technologies will support curriculum design, mentorship, and recruitment initiatives, with an emphasis on improving placement outcomes.

“Robotics is moving from labs to the real world. For students, early exposure is not just an advantage, it is a game-changer. By aligning training with actual industry use cases, we bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world deployment, making the transition faster and more predictable," said Hariharan Bojan, CEO & founder, Sirena Technologies.
