Smart India Hackathon 2022: Registration deadline extended till April 22

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Education has extended the last date to register for Smart India Hackathon 2022 till April 22, 2022. Interested students can register at the official website of SIH 2022 – sih.gov.in. Earlier, the registration deadline was extended till April 15. The registrations for the hackathon began on January 26.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) tweeted, “Date for SPOC Registration, Team Nomination and Idea submission for #SmartIndiaHackathon2022 has now been extended to April 22, 2022. Don't wait for the last day! Register now”

Smart India Hackathon is an initiative in which school and college students solve challenges and real-life problems faced by various participating ministries and departments and win prizes while helping the government.

Over 45 ministries and departments have submitted problem statements and school and college SPOC registration is open.

The SPOC of higher education institutions have been asked to organize internal hackathons and provide details of shortlisted teams while SPOC of schools can submit ideas against the themes of Smart India Hackathon 2022.

Eligibility for SIH 2022

• School students from Classes 6 to 12 will be able to showcase their talent and generate out-of-the-box open innovation ideas.
• Regular college students pursuing graduate or postgraduate programmes will be able to showcase their talent and generate out-of-the-box open innovation ideas.
