Subscribe NowThe Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has released the notification for a Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for in-service teachers on the official website of APCSE at cse.ap.gov.in. The registration process for this test has been started and will continue till September 24, 2026.
As per the schedule, a special TET exam will be conducted from October 11 to October 21, 2026. This test notice is for teachers who were appointed before 2011 but do not have valid TET certificates.
The exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode in two sessions. The session I will start from 9.30 am to 12 pm, whereas session II will begin from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.

AP Special TET 2026: Steps to apply
To submit the application form for the AP special TET, follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official website of APCSE at cse.ap.gov.in
- On the homepage, click on the ‘APTET 2026’ option
- Register with basic details and get a journal number
- Log in and fill out the online application form
- Upload the required documents, pay the application fee & then submit
- Download the submitted application form and take a printout for future reference
AP Special TET 2026: Eligibility criteria
Applicants applying for AP Special TET 2026 must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. The examination is open to in-service teachers who were appointed on a regular or minimum time scale basis before 2011 and do not currently hold a valid TET certificate. Eligible teachers can be working in government schools, local body schools, APREIS, government welfare residential schools, AP model schools, private aided institutions or schools under other government departments.
Teachers teaching classes I to V are required to appear for paper-I, while those teaching classes VI to VIII must appear for paper-II. Teachers seeking to move from class I-V to classes VI to VIII, subject to meeting the required qualifications, will have to appear for both paper 1 and paper II.
