SSC CGL 2018 Tier 1 Result to be Announced on August 20; 8.37 Lakh Candidates Appeared for Exam

NEW DELHI, JUNE 21: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the result date of SSC CGL 2018. Tier 1 result will be declared on August 20, 2019. Candidates will be able to check their result online in the result pdf. SSC CGL result 2018 pdf will display the roll numbers of qualified candidates.

Along with the declaration of result, Staff Selection Commission may also release the cutoff. SSC CGL Tier 1 exam which was held between June 4 to 13, 2019. But due to some technical issues, at some exam centres, tier 1 examination was cancelled The re-examination was held on June 19, 2019, for the cancelled centres.
As per the notice released by SSC, a total of 4,825 has taken the re-examination. Tier 1 exam of SSC CGL was held at 362 examination venues across 131 cities of India. Around 25.97 lakh candidates had registered for SSC CGL 2018 exam wherein 8.37 lakh appeared for the exam.
The questions in Tier 1 exam were asked from four sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. According to the exam pattern, there were 100 questions carrying 200 marks each. For each wrong answer, 0.50 marks were deducted and 2 marks were awarded for the correct answer. The total time allotted to candidates to answer this paper is 60 minutes.
Based on tier 1 result, candidates will be shortlisted to appear for the Tier 2 exam. SSC CGL is conducted for the recruitment of candidates to Group B and C posts in the Ministries/Departments/Organizations in the Government of India.
