SSC CGL 2025 tier 1 re-exam by September 26 for 2,000 affected candidates

SSC CGL Recruitment 2025: The commission received close to 10,000 feedback submissions from candidates. Around 2,000 candidates reported technical issues. Complaints are being verified by regional offices before confirming re-exam eligibility.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that a re-exam will be held on or before September 26. This applies to candidates of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination 2025 tier-I who faced technical issues during the computer-based test.

According to SSC, a dedicated feedback portal was launched on September 11, 2025, through the candidate login on ssc.gov.in. Within a week, the Commission received close to 10,000 responses, of which nearly 2,000 candidates reported issues such as repeated system restarts during the test.
SSC informed that each complaint is being verified by its regional offices, and only those found genuine will be considered for the re-exam. The Commission has asked candidates to regularly check the official website, and the candidate’s portal for updates.
“The Commission is examining each such complaint with due diligence. The feedback is being cross-checked by the respective Regional Offices of the Commission. In cases where the claims are found to be genuine, the Commission has decided to offer another opportunity to such affected candidates, whose re-examination shall be conducted on o before 26.09.2025,” the Commission said.
SSC CGL 2025: Clarification on exam cancellations
Earlier in a message to candidates, SSC Chairman Gopalakrishnan S noted that more than 28 lakh candidates have applied for CGL 2025. He added that for the first time, the exam is being conducted on laptops at select centres in Kolkata as part of efforts to improve exam conduct and move towards single-shift examinations in the future. The Chairman also highlighted the launch of the feedback portal for candidates to directly share their examination experiences.
Recently, the commission clarified that the SSC CGL 2025 tier-I exams are proceeding smoothly across the country despite social media claims of widespread cancellations. Out of 2,435 planned shifts, only 25 were cancelled, affecting 7,705 candidates who have already been rescheduled.
The SSC officials stated that most of the impacted shifts are expected to be conducted between September 22 and 27. The exam, which started on September 12 and runs till September 26, is being held in multiple shifts across 227 centres for over 28 lakh registered candidates.
