Join Careers360 PremiumThe Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the tentative vacancies for the Combined Hindi Translators (CHT) examination 2026 on the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in. As per the list, the commission has announced a total of 303 posts across Senior Translator and Junior Translator/Junior Hindi Translator categories.
The commission has also announced the 15 vacancies for OH, HH, VH and other PWD categories, which makes a total of 318 posts. The SSC JHT exam is expected to be conducted in August-September 2026 and the hall ticket will be out a few days before the exam.
The full SSC CHT 2026 notification is expected to be released separately soon on the official website. The notification will contain information, including exam dates, eligibility criteria, application fee, and selection process.

SSC CHT Vacancy 2026: Steps to apply
To apply for the SSC CHT vacancy 2026 follow the step given below:
- Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in
- Do one time registration and login through the credentials, including OTR registration number and date of birth
- Fill out the application form, upload the necessary documents, make the payment and then submit
- Download the application form and take a printout for future reference
As per the previous year, SSC CHT exam pattern contains paper 1 having 100 questions on general Hindi and general English, carrying a total of 100 marks. The duration of the test will be two hours.
