NEW DELHI, JANUARY 12: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) paper 1 exam on January 13, 2019. The exam will be held at 27 exam cities across the country in computer-based mode. Paper 1 of SSC JHT will have objective type questions which will be conducted for 100 marks. There will be two subjects in Paper 1 - General Hindi and General English.
As per the marking scheme, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Paper 1 of SSC JHT will be conducted to test candidates’ understanding of the languages and literature, ability to write correctly etc. The questions will be on based on graduation standards. Candidates who will qualify the paper 1 will be eligibile to appear for paper 2.
SSC JHT paper 2 is descriptive in nature conducted for 200 marks. This paper is designed to check candidates’ translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages correctly. There will be two passages for translation - one passage for translation from Hindi to English and one passage for translation from English to Hindi etc.
SSC has released the admit card for Paper 1 on January 8. Candidates can download the admit card till the day examination. The selection process of SSC JHT includes three stages - Paper 1, 2 and document verification. SSC JHT exam is conducted for the recruitment of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Hindi Pradhyapak.
