SSC GD Constable 2018 registration begins, apply before August 24

NEW DELHI, JULY 25: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the application form of SSC GD Constable on July 25, 2018. The last date to fill SSC GD Constable application form online is August 24, 2018. Aadhaar Card is mandatory to fill SSC GD Constable application form. 

To be eligible for SSC GD Constable recruitment exam, candidates must be between 18 to 23 years and must have passed Class 10/matriculation. Only online applications will be accepted for the recruitment exam. The application form can be filled in two parts. In Part I, candidates are required to register for the exam by submitting basic details. In Part II, applicants have to fill the detailed application, upload photograph and signature and pay the requisite fee. Candidates have to pay an application fees of Rs 100, which can be paid both online and offline.

SSC GD Constable selection process comprises – Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination. As per the notification, the CBE will carry 100 objective type questions, carrying 100 marks. Questions will be asked from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi. The qualifying marks of CBE is 33% for SC, ST, OBC, while it is 35% for General and Ex-Servicemen. The admit card for PET/PST will be released by CRPF, while for Computer Based Test/Written the admit card will be issued by SSC.

SSC GD Constable examination is conducted for recruitment of Constable (General Duty) in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NIA and SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. The pay scale of Constable (GD) is Rs 21700-69100. The exam will be held across 130 cities. Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for PET/PST. Final result will be declared based on candidates performance in CBE, PST/PET and medical examination.

SSC GD Constable notification was released on July 21, 2018. As many as 54953 vacancies have been announced.
