NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started conducting the Junior Engineer (JE) exam from today onwards. The SSC JE 2020 exam will be conducted on March 22, 23 and 24, 2021. The SSC JE Paper 1 2020-21 will be conducted across multiple shifts.

Earlier, it was scheduled to be held from March 22 to 24, however, the exam dates were revised later. Candidates who applied for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying & Contract) and downloaded their admit cards will be able to appear in the exam.

Candidates must carry an SSC JE 2020 admit card along with an original photo ID card.
SSC JE Paper 1 will be conducted in computer-based mode.
The time duration for SSC JE is two hours.
SSC JE Paper-I consists of multiple-choice questions.
The questions will be in Hindi and English language.
There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer attempted by a candidate.
The SSC JE exam is being conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Engineer in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying and Contracts. SSC JE is conducted in two stages - Paper 1 and Paper 2. SSC JE paper 2 is in descriptive mode. The shortlisted candidate will be recruited in various Ministries, Departments and Organizations under the Government of India.
