MTS and Havaldar Exam: SSC informed candidates that the affected shifts will be rescheduled, and fresh admit cards will be issued in due course.

Several aspirants travelled 500 kilometers only to learn that the SSC MTS 2026 exam had been cancelled. The Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) Multi-tasking (Non-technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) exam 2025 was marred by widespread cancellations on February 11 due to technical and administrative reasons.

SSC MTS exams have been cancelled across at least eight states - Karnataka, Odisha, Sikkim, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, along with the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The regional offices issued separate notices regarding the cancellation of the exam at multiple centres.
The commission informed candidates that the affected shifts will be rescheduled, and fresh admit cards will be issued in due course. The SSC MTS recruitment exam is being conducted to fill 7,948 vacancies for MTS and Havaldar posts.
Candidates have flagged several instances of mismanagement and administrative failures since the exam began on February 4. SSC MTS admit cards have been released just one day before the exam. While several candidates complained about the far-off exam centres, many aspirants claimed they travelled 500 kilometers only to hear the exam got cancelled, without prior intimation.
Several aspirants have taken to social media to express their frustration. Krishnendu Roy, in a X post, urged the commission to rectify the previous blunders "immediately” and cancel “all tampered shifts”. Roy stated that travelling 500 km for an exam was “not a matter for joke” and it was financially unaffordable for many students.
#ssc_jawab_do has again started trending after some claimed that entire shifts were cancelled in over 50 exam centres across the country in a single day. “What is happening with aspirants? Since day 1, thousands of candidates are facing serious mismanagement. Exams are being cancelled repeatedly and admit cards are issued just 1 day before exam,” another aspirant wrote on X.
Candidates have demanded that the SSC should ensure a fair and transparent exam process, timely release of admit cards at least four days before the exam, and an end to last-minute cancellations.
