SSC Steno Final Result: Candidates who appeared for skill test can exercise their options of posts and departments by July 1.
The Staff Selection Commission has asked candidates who appeared for the skill test for Stenographer Grade C, D recruitment to submit option-cum-preferences for posts or departments. Such candidates can submit their preferences on the official website, ssc.gov.in, by July 1, 2025.
“Before the declaration of final result, Option-cum-Preference(s) for post(s)/ department(s) are required to be submitted by those candidates who have appeared in the Skill Test of the examination,” the commission said in the latest notification.
Applicants can make revisions in the options during the given window and the last submitted preferences will be treated as final, it said. Those who fail to exercise the SSC Steno Grade C, D option-cum-preference facility during this period will not be given another opportunity and will not be considered for the final merit list. Therefore, it is mandatory for those who took the skill test to exercise their option-cum-preferences for consideration of their candidature in the selection list.
The commission asked Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates to ensure that they submit preferences for only those posts that are suitable for their disabilities. “The candidature of a PwBD candidate will get cancelled by the User Department concerned if he/ she gets selected for a post that is not identified as suitable for his/ her disabilities,” it said.
Before exercising their preferences of posts, candidates are also requested to ensure that they fulfil the requisite physical and medical standards for the post. The posts will be allotted based on the preferences submitted by the candidates.
