Strathclyde University invites applications for MSc in pharmaceutical manufacturing, eligibility

NEW DELHI: The University of Strathclyde is inviting applications for admission into its one-year Master of Science (MSc) programme in Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. The MSc programme will commence in September 2024. The tuition fee for international students is 27,500 Pounds.
The MSc course is designed to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge in manufacturing science and technology. The course is aligned with the industry-informed expertise of the Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation (CMAC) centre.
The institute said that the students will learn about pharmaceutical development and production, continuous manufacturing processes, crystallisation mechanisms, manufacturing processes, professional skills, Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and data analytics, quality assurance, management and Quality-by-Design systems.
Students will be trained to take up jobs in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries after the completion of this course. Pharmaceutical companies like AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Novartis, Roche, and Takeda support the course. Upon completion of all assessments, students will proceed to a 10-week research project during the summer, the institute further said.

University of Strathclyde Admission 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates should have a minimum second-class (2:2) honours degree or its overseas equivalent in science or engineering along with two references including at least one reference from an academic. Additionally, Candidates should have scored 6.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
As per the official press release, new international students enrolling in a postgraduate taught master's degree within the faculty of science for the academic year 2024-25 are eligible for scholarships ranging from 5,000 pounds to 7,000 pounds. These scholarships will be granted to candidates showcasing outstanding academic achievements and any pertinent extra-curricular or professional experience.
