Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 round 2 counselling schedule revised; registration ends tomorrow

NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Chennai has revised the counselling schedule for the second round of Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 counselling. As per the revised schedule, the Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 round 2 counselling registration will end tomorrow, December 17.

Earlier the deadline for Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 round 2 counselling was today, December 16. Eligible candidates whose names are on the merit list will be able to exercise the Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 choice-filling process from December 17. The last date to exercise TN NEET PG 2024 choice filling and locking is December 18.

“If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date (18-12-2024 10.00 AM) their choices will be automatically locked,” the official notification read.

Candidates allotted a seat in round 1 and opting for re-allotment in round 2 will have their round 1 seat shown as a virtual vacancy in round 2. Other candidates can lock choices for this virtual seat during round 2. The seat will only be allotted if the round 1 candidate vacates it, making the virtual vacancy a real vacancy open to all based on merit.

Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2024: Registration fee

As per the official notice, candidates who participate in the online choice-filling process for Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses under the government quota will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 1,000.

During the registration process, candidates will be required to pay a refundable security deposit for the government quota, unless it has already been paid earlier. For Government Medical Colleges and Institutions, the amount is Rs 30,000.

TN NEET PG 2024 seat allotment dates

The schedule for Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 round 2 seat allotment and reporting dates will remain the same. The Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on December 19.

Candidates can download the seat allotment letter until December 28, and the reporting deadline for shortlisted candidates is December 28.
