Anna University has once again extended the registration deadline for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2026) and Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admissions (CEETA-PG 2026) until today, April 16, at 12:30 pm. Candidates can apply for the CEETA-PG or TANCET 2026 on the official website, tancet.annauniv.edu.

Initially, the last date for CEETA-PG and TANCET 2026 registration was April 10; however, it was later extended to April 15 and has now been extended again till April 16.
To complete the TANCET application form 2026, SC, SCA, and ST category candidates will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 500, while others are required to pay Rs 1000.
For CEETA-PG 2026, including counselling charges, the application fee for SC, SCA, and ST candidates from Tamil Nadu is Rs 972, and for others it is Rs 1,944.
TANCET 2026 entrance exam for MBA and MCA admissions will be held on May 9 in two shifts — MBA from 10 am to 12 noon, and MCA from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The CEETA-PG exam will be conducted on May 10 in a single session from 10 am to 12 noon at 15 test centres across the state.
The hall ticket for CEETA-PG and TANCET 2026 will be issued on April 27.
TANCET, CEETA PG 2026 eligibility criteria
Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the reserved category) are eligible to apply for TANCET 2026.
For CEETA-PG 2026, students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) are eligible.
GATE-qualified and final-year candidates are also eligible to apply, while students who have completed BTech through distance or weekend mode are not eligible for CEETA-PG.
The TANCET entrance exam is conducted for admission to MBA and MCA, whereas CEETA-PG is held for ME, MTech, MArch, and MPlanning admissions.
