Telangana Board warns parents, students against unauthorised junior college admissions 2025-26

NEW DELHI: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has cautioned parents and students against unauthorised junior college admissions for the 2025-26 academic year. As per the official press release, the board has received complaints and reports of pre-admissions and the involvement of Public Relations Officers (PROs) in the admission process.

“The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education(TGBIE) has been receiving complaints and News clippings highlighting unauthorized admission activities, and pre-admissions by involving the PROs in the admission process,” the official press release said.

In this regard, the TGBIE clarified that it has not yet released the affiliation notification or admission schedule for the 2025-26 academic session. The board has also informed students and parents not to take admissions to junior colleges before the official admission schedule is announced.

The board further informed that the provisional affiliation process has not yet commenced for the academic year 2025-2026. Once the affiliation notification is released, the list of provisionally affiliated junior colleges will be available on the official websites, tgbie.cgg.gov.in and acadtgbie.cgg.gov.in. The board advised parents to admit their children only to affiliated junior colleges.

The TGBIE also reminded private junior college management to conduct admissions strictly as per the admission schedule, which will be announced by the board. “Any deviation from this schedule is a violation of established norms and will be dealt with seriously and appropriate action will be initiated as per Rules. The Provisional Affiliation will not be processed for the Academic Year 2025-26, if any deviation is found,” the press release said.
