Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022: Two Indian universities in top 100

THE Impact Rankings 2022: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University is featured in the top 50 and the Lovely Professional University in the top 100.
NEW DELHI: The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022 has been released with one university from India featuring in the top 50 and two universities in the top 100. As per THE Impact Rankings 2022, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was ranked 41 and the Lovely Professional University at rank 74.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings assess the university's impact on society through its contributions toward the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As many as 64 universities from India featured in the rankings making India the fourth best-represented country in the rankings. About eight universities from India made it into the top 300 list. The list includes 1,406 universities from 106 countries or regions.
Other universities which featured in the top 300 list of THE Impact Rankings 2022 are the Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Amity University, Gurugram, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University, Chitkara University, University of Calcutta, and the Nitte (Deemed to be University). Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and the OP Jindal Global University also got featured among the top.

Western Sydney University of Australia grabbed the first position in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. The Arizona State University of the United States and the Western University in Canada were placed in the second and third positions respectively. Universities from countries such as the UK, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, New Zealand and Japan were featured in the top 10 rankings.
