TISS online assessment round will consist of two stages - extempore speech and online personal interview. Earlier, the institute cancelled the TISS PAT examination due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The three member panel, formed by TISS, will conduct the online assessment for approximately 20-30 minutes. The scheduled date for online assessment is July 1 to 21, 2021. The online assessment is conducted to assess the suitability and interest of candidates in the opted programme. There are two components in Online Assessment which are given below;
Extempore speech
Panel members will ask candidates to present a reflection on a topic relevant to the programme of study for a maximum of 2-3 minutes. In case candidates are not comfortable with the topic given at the beginning, they have the option to ask for a second topic. However, there will not be a third choice.
Online Personal Interview
The panel members will interview candidates to understand their motivation, interest and preparedness as well as basic subject knowledge of undergraduate studies. They will also explore the candidates' understanding of social and economic factors. These are only indicative areas of exploration at the Online Personal Interview.
Tata Institute of Social Sciences will start releasing the merit list after the online assessment process is over. Candidates can check the merit list on the official website of TISS. Candidates who will be mentioned in the merit list can proceed further to pay the application fee and get admission to the opted PG programmes.
