TNEA 2020 rank list declared at tneaonline.org; check details

NEW DELHI: Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has released TNEA rank list in online mode at tneaonline.org. To check the TNEA 2020 rank list, the candidates will have to login using their registered email ID and password. Ranks have been allotted to all candidates who have qualified for admissions into the participating institutes. The authorities will not use any other mode to declare TNEA rank list. Separate rank lists have been released for different categories such as general, differently abled and more.

Along with the rank list, the cutoff details has also been declared. The release of TNEA 2020 rank list had been postponed quite a number of times due to unknown reasons.
Since no entrance examination is conducted, the authorities will use the marks secured in the prescribed subjects of 12th standard qualifying exam and reduce it to the base of 200 (Mathematics- 100 and Physics +Chemistry - 100). A normalization process will also be followed to equalize the marks in the qualifying examination from students belonging to different boards.
Candidates will be able to apply for admissions into one of the 1,61,877 seats which are made available for engineering programmes in 458 colleges through TNEA. The number of seats are fewer compared to last year. In the previous year, 1,72,940 seats were available at 479 engineering colleges through TNEA.
The TNEA committee had assigned a 10-digit random numbers for 1,31,436 candidates for engineering counselling on August 26
