Subscribe NowNEW DELHI, JANUARY 22: Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu has announced the exam dates of TNTET 2020 in their latest notice on the official website - trb.tn.nic.in . TNTET 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on June 27 and 28. The exam authorities will release the official notification tentatively on May 4, 2020. The exam authorities are yet to announce the application dates of the exam but it is expected that the application form will be released soon after TNTET notification is released.

TNTET is conducted to test the eligibility of candidates as teachers of classes I to VIII. The exam consists of two papers - paper-I and paper-II. Candidates who wish to teach classes I to V have to appear for paper-I while those who want to teach classes VI to VIII have to take paper-II. Candidates can take both papers if they wish to. A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Education (B.Ed./D.Ed.) and/or a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed/D.El.Ed) to be able to apply for TNTET.
Candidates who wish to take both papers have to pay the application fee for each paper separately. TNTET application fee is provided below in the table.

Candidates who qualify in TNTET 2020 exam will be issued TET eligibility certificates using which they can apply to be teachers in the schools of Tamil Nadu.
